Your Own Quest

Different people move at different paces.

Shared Edition is built around one family total everyone contributes to. Individual Edition gives each person their own version of that same system: their own chores, their own points, their own streak, their own missions and achievements.

The family still shares the same world, and the leaderboard lets everyone see where they stand, but the goal was never to make it a competition that stings. It's just a fun way to see everyone's progress in one place.

Why it works

Every small piece, doing something on purpose

Your progress is yours

Points, streaks, and achievements belong to you, not a shared pool. What you complete is what moves you forward.

Points that actually make sense

Each chore's difficulty and due date feed into an automatic point calculation, with a manual override whenever you want to set the value yourself.

Know what's within reach

Your Reward Shop shows a Can Afford indicator for every reward, so you always know exactly how close you are.

See where everyone stands

The family leaderboard is a friendly way to see everyone's progress side by side, optional, and never the point of the system.

Your Character

Build your own adventure.

Your Family Member Profile is your own space in the Family Quest OS world. Your own chores, your own points, your own rewards, kept separate from everyone else's.

Inside the system

These are real screenshots taken straight from the template. I'll be polishing them up over time.

Who it's for

See yourself in this?

Families who want each person to have their own responsibilities and their own pace.

Anyone who wants to see their own progress clearly, without it being folded into a shared total.

Families who like a little friendly comparison via the leaderboard.

Teens or older kids who want their own space in the system, separate from younger siblings.

Anyone who's said ‘I want to know what I'm working toward, specifically.’

Worth Knowing

Probably not the right fit if you...

Wants everyone contributing to one shared family total
Wants a fully automated household app
Doesn't want to use Notion

Made by Gerald

Not everyone moves at the same pace, and that's fine. Individual Edition gives each person their own version of the system, same world, their own progress, and a leaderboard just for fun.

Your quest, your progress

Make your progress yours.

Keep your own points, streak, missions, achievements, and rewards in one place, while still sharing the same family world.

Make it yours

A good system should fit your life, not the other way around.

What makes Cheese different

You only get one life. Build it well.

I don't think your money, school, habits, health, and goals are separate problems. They're all pieces of the same life.

That's why I build Cheese differently. Instead of giving you another app to manage, I make Notion systems that help you organize the things that matter, make progress on them and actually enjoy the process a little more.

Because you only get one life. It deserves a system built around it.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Shared Edition uses one Family Points balance the whole household contributes to. Individual Edition gives each person their own separate points, streak, missions, and achievements, plus a leaderboard to see how everyone's doing.

Your turn

How is Family Quest OS: Individual Edition going?

A star rating is all I need. Everything else is optional, so add as much or as little as you want.

Your email is never published. The month helps me tell real reviews apart, and roughly is completely fine.
